Let's Play Bollywood Style! (Tips and Trick!)
Hello gals~ ♥
☆*・゜゚・*\(^O^)/*・゜゚・*☆
☆*・゜゚・*\(^O^)/*・゜゚・*☆
I'm finally posting again after some business!
OK. I'll discuss a point that, maybe, a little rare for Japan-lover like me, but it's highly over-discussed by beauty gurus!
![]() |
Know who is this sweet woman? |
Sometimes, when I watch a bollywood movie, I wonder that Indian woman has her own beauty magia. Sweet light-colored eyes (sometimes dark, too), with kala kajal (black eyeliner!), defined facial feature, good-shaped hair, and of course its fashion that has been so popular on the entire world! o(〃^▽^〃)o
So here, I will discuss about :
1. Makeup
2. Hairdo, and
3. Fashion
So let's start! ヽ(゚◇゚ )ノ
1. Makeup
Yes, India has a lot of style of makeup matching, but I want to take a role model, and she is Rani Mukherjee (yes, the sweet woman on the pic above!)
Why did I choose her? Yes, because her makeup is simply so amazing, matte-looking, and her smokey eyes is a touch up of magic on her eye! She is the Queen of Smokey Eye! (*゜▽゜ノノ゛☆ For those who doesn't want to dull her eye, she's the best role model for you!
And, here, I will give some secrets and tips about Bollywood makeup :
SKIN
-Matte looking please! But also a little bronzing! Apply foundie (powder or cream), and apply bronzer. After that, apply matte powder to matte-izing your skin~ glowing but also matte :3 if you have uneven skin, you may use concealer too!
EYES
- Make sure you DEFINE your eyebrows! It's a must! Defined and bold eyebrow is the main point to define your facial features! I recommend to use the brown one, and re-define its color with brown matte eyeshadow.
-Nah, this is for Asian eyes like me. I have almond-shaped, fish-eye eyes. So it's rather hard to pull out a style of Indian eyes on me. But you can make it! Just concentrate with contouring and highlighting your eyelid! First, apply matte brown eyeshadow on your entire eyelid. contour your corner of eyelid (near to the nose) with darker color (I used brownish grey). Create smokey eyes (you can search it on the internet!) and highlight your eyebrow bone. So your eyes will pop on. Oh! Don't forget to use earth-toned color!
-If you can, wear a light-toned circle lenses that natural and doesn't enlarging! (I recommend 4-tone Neo Cosmo or Eye Candy Belle) but it's optional. Lot of Indian women have dark-toned iris too.
-Lashes are very important. Apply voluminous, black, longing mascara or wear natural-look but bold eyelashes.
CONTOURING
Defined, defined facial feature. It's better to keep you on style and beautiful. Make sure to contour your nose and cheek!
BLUSH
You'd better apply these blush color :
And don't ever apply orange-ish blush on. It will be dull to your bronzed skin.
LIPS

2.Hair-do
Girl, you cannot leave hairdo alone! Stunning makeup + stunning hairdo = stunning you! Bollywood stars are always with their voluminous, silky hair, beautiful hair, shiny hair! Perfect hair :3 so... the role model of hair-do section is~~~ (●´ω`●)ゞ
Kareena Kapoor!
We always know that she has best hairdos ever! From the glamorous one, to the casual one, she always does great to her hair! Good job, Kapoorji! °˖✧◝(⁰▿⁰)◜✧˖°
Yes also we all know that her jaw shape is rather cubical (or what you sayy??) but I'm amazed she can do very great with it!
This is what I quoted from Jolie Aise about Kareena's hair tips!
“I love oiling my hair with a mix of almond, castor, coconut and olive oils,” says Kareena. “I do this once a month. I use a Kerastase shampoo specifically for dry hair, and follow it with a blow-dry.”
Kareena keeps her hair long and layered, colored in a dark chocolate brown or black shade. Celebrity hairstylist Pompy Hans says of Bebo’s preferred hair style: “She prefers bouncy blow-dry for her everyday look. We use good voluminising products like L’Oreal or Tigi. I use a root booster and volume hairspray.” On her off-days, he says, she likes to messily pile her hair up with a rubber band.
For Indonesians, you can use 'Cem-ceman' to keep your heart shiny and healthy! One of my friends use that and her hair is such of a 'Please-Get-Envy-Of-Me'!
3. Fashion
You always know that India is famous for Kurti, Saree, or anything like that! "But it's hard to get it here!" so? I will give you tips to pull out Bollywood Style to your daily fashion! (づ。◕‿‿◕。)づ
Floral tunic also works too! Same as above, you can mix-match it with legging/bray trousers/tight jeans, also you can combine it with scarf! Beautiful floral pattern ♥~(‘▽^人) "But tunic is hard to find here!" So? Third option!
What? A blouse? What the hell!
Believe it or not, I've tried it many times. ╮(╯▽╰)╭ Pick a long blouse (at least until your thigh) and combine it with rather-bray trouser like this :
And then, you can combine it with ethnic scarf
And for the shoes, flat shoes and sandal is a good option!
What? Boots? WTF!
Yes, you can stay with boots, but pick the earth-toned one, to make it sure :)
You can also enrich your style by wearing some Indian accessories such as :

Bangle |
![]() |
Payal |
And after you understand the style, you must be able to enrich the style by yourself, even create your own bollywood-look!
OK this is enough from me~ Whoaaa so long! >.<
Thank you for reading~~
BONUS!
Tried Bollywood style this morning and this was what I got :
Sorry for the low quality :p because of the bad lighting my makeup's intensity was blurred! Awwhh! I posted this pic on my facebook and my friend said "Kareena Sepoor :v" (Sepor means Train in Javanese lol, he used it for joking) \(///Σ///)\

Totality in Newbie Gals : Is It A Must?
Totality in Newbie Gals
One thing to point out : I'm still newbie too and I don't know everything yet, but this is my opinion. Please don't judge but let's discuss this together.
Okay, gals *cough* so today I want to discuss rather serious topic about Gyaru.
I don't mean to bash anyone here, but I just want to point out few things about newbie gal world.
I'm also a newbie gyaru, and sometimes I feel my limit for become 'as total as I can'. That's very normal. But it depends how we work on it, right?
Yes, when a newbie gal for me entered the gal world for the first time, yes... Gyaru is an expensive hobby (or we will call it 'Lifestyle' later), yet fun, rebellious, and very energetic. I'm very astounded about how Gyaru lifestyle changes my life. I become more energetic, and optimistic about this world. I feel that there are many things beyond my reach. And then when I started to have few gyaru friends, and we're discussing to make a gyaru-sa etc, I feel that I get a life! Gyaru style really changes my life! And I'm sure other new gals feel this feeling and it's so amazing!
But otherwise, I found it rather difficult at first to point out all gyaru style's main-points on my style and life. It's hard to find gyaru-ish clothes, accessories, even gyaru friends on my country (basic difficulty for a gaijin gyaru, actually). For a student like me, circle lenses, lashes, etc are rather expensive, though I can manage it by save some money. But some people can't deal with it.
Yes, Gyaru style is fun, but on the reality it rather spends some money, right? Not just gyaru I think -- people who are into a certain style face these kinds of probs. I don't blame on anything or anyone but, based on my own experience and my friends', yes, it is. Some people can manage it, some people can't.
♥♥♥
Nah, we have got an idea of newbie gal probs, and my probs too. Now let's divide newbies into two :
-One that accepts critics, even flames
-A stubborn one. No explain about this.
I'm not saying and pointing out on 'You! That's you!' I don't b*tch out. Let's evaluate ourselves... Who are us? What kinda gals are us? Yes, I know, not just newbie gals, but also older gals can be appreciative and some of them can go very stubborn. But that's human. We have our weakness too.
The first type. Very obedient gal yet can be very creative or, otherwise, dependent. She always thinks positively about critics given, and she never searchs for praises but critics. A rare type. Because we are all human born to be on our own -- so I know it's so difficult to be accepting on other's opinion. But a standing ovation from me if you can handle it, gals.
The second type. When we intended to help her, she thinks that we insult her. Yes, that kinda gal DOES exist and we must found sucha gyaru, even just once in our lifetime. People that cannot accept critics never grow. Even her mind doesn't grow up (rebellious isn't that kinda thing, girl!). Yes, we all know this kind of gyaru.
On this section, we all got that totality in gyaru world isn't just about great outfit, astounding nails, hot tan, good bleaching, suppapawa makeup etc... but it's also how to go well with other gyaru and accepting critics and constructive suggestion. Without other gyaru, we can never be. I thank my first few gyaru friends that introduce me into gyaru style, also.
♥♥♥
So what's the relation about those types and probs?
Simple thing. Sooner or later, the first type will became a gyaru in totality and integrity. And the second one won't, except they are nice enough to change their mindset.
It's not about how expensive, how difficult...
First, about expensive thingy, we can make some tricks by it. For example, let's take a note on the brain that wearing expensive gyaru lashes (sorry for mentioning brands but some like Dollywink, etc) doesn't make you any gyaru if you don't put efforts! You can buy other lashes and still can be a gyaru, believe me. And for lenses, we can trick it by wearing cheap but good lenses like geo. For the outfit, once again, wearing Liz Lisa, DreamV, doesn't make you any gyaru if you don't put efforts! Same thing on fashion things like shoes, etc. What do you need is just the skill of mix-matching your clothes, and the skill of 'finding a jewel on a bunch of trashy stones'. For example when you go to a boutique, you can find something fancy. You can find fancy fashion items anywhere and you can try to make something new, gals!!
Second, about difficulties... as I have mentioned before, you can find fancy things anywhere. And you can make your own style. Don't get yourself pinned, gals! Show off who you are!!
♥♥♥
This article is just enough. Please don't think that I'm mean XD I still don't know anything yet. I'm just shouting my opinions to the world.

Trying New Style : Living Doll
Hello gals~! ♥ How are you doing? I'm so fine here!
And by the way, on this Holiday (spelled Holy Day lol), there's a thought crossing my mind like 'Oh! I want to try dollie style like Venus Angelic or something or somebody!' LOL! Yes I'm into gyaru style that is about eye enlargement and all-things-you-may-know-about-them but I want a dollie concept that is completely unnatural, plus an over-done editing that makes my face really inhuman and not natural...
Starting with circle lenses (15 mm, pretty enlarging for my eyes because yall know that my eyes are pretty small), and then such of 'innatural lining' and over-done highlighting and contouring... and then a small pink lips... after the photoses was done, I got to edit it with MeiTu Xiuxiu and here is the result!
First, I'm a honest person. I won't edit my pics heavily without me telling you.... because it means that I lie on you about myself. Well then, I give you the example of before-after editing that I make for reach the image beyond my imagination.
You can see that I enlarge my circle lenses as well as my eyes, I highlight my nose even more, I set the brightness high, I pull in my cheek and make my chin longer and sharpened. I also make my lip smaller!
Let's see the other pics, shall we?

I think this is the cutest lol |

Small Diary : Messed Fashion at The Restaurant
BEWARE OF MESSED FASHION
Okay, I should say that this is not gyaru related(You know that we all don't have to be a gyaru anytime), but more punk and goth related.
OK gals, I'm now free of tasks (there's a test tomorrow but.... I never give a single damn about Science since I'm very lack of it) and I want to post some photos due to my activity yesterday~
Yesterday I had funs! I went to a Japanese Restaurant 'Harumi' at my city. I was in a complete hurry, so my clothes were messed up too :v
Here it is, the photo of my makeup and my bracelets taken on the car :v you can find a band name on my bracelet lol! And, don't blame me. My makeup is very asdfghjkl because -- I repeat it again -- I WAS IN A COMPLETE HURRY. Get it? But I think that my new pen liner worked very well on me~~
